On July 1, 2024, the portable tunable laser absorption spectroscopy method for the determination of ammonia in exhaust gases from fixed pollution sources (T/SSESB 10-2024) was officially implemented. In order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, prevent and control ecological environment pollution, improve ecological environment quality, and standardize the portable determination method of ammonia in exhaust gas from fixed pollution sources, this standard is specially formulated.
The group standard is led and organized by the Shanghai Environmental Science Society. The project undertaking units, including the Shanghai Chemical Environmental Protection Monitoring Station, Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center, and Shanghai Alwaysbrong Applied Technology Co., Ltd., jointly established a standard drafting group to carry out research on the group standard and participate in its formulation.
This is the first group standard in China for the determination of ammonia in waste gas from fixed pollution sources, portable tunable laser absorption spectroscopy, which effectively fills the gap in the standard for the determination of ammonia in waste gas from solid pollution sources using portable tunable laser absorption spectroscopy.
This group standard provides corresponding regulatory recommendations for the performance requirements, analysis steps, instrument verification, sample measurement, and result calculation of portable tunable laser absorption spectrometers. It emphasizes that the sample measurement results should be between 20% and 100% of the instrument calibration range. Otherwise, the range should be re selected and calibrated with ammonia standard gas.
