On December 26, 2023, Regarding the recent release of the "Action Plan for Continuous Improvement of Air Quality" by the State Council, it is emphasized that "we will adhere to the overall tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, work together to promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and growth, with improving air quality as the core, reducing heavy pollution weather as the focus, continuing to focus on PM2.5 control, coordinating the control of ozone pollution, and focusing on promoting the reduction of NOx and VOCs emissions." The 4th Volatile Organic Compounds Comprehensive Treatment Technology Forum - VOCs Deep Treatment and Fine Management Seminar was successfully held at East China University of Science and Technology, focusing on new national strategic requirements, facing pain and difficulties, and discussing scientific solutions for VOCs.
This conference is jointly organized by the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering of East China University of Technology, the Alumni Association for VOC Governance of East China University of Technology, the Key Laboratory of Chemical Process Environmental Risk Assessment and Control of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the Key Laboratory of Chemical Pollutant Environmental Standards and Risk Management of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of Shanghai. Relevant government departments and experts and scholars in the field of VOC governance are invited Colleague representatives took the time to attend and jointly exchange ideas on the difficulties and miscellaneous issues in the VOCs governance process, providing suggestions and suggestions for the refinement, specialization, and intelligent control of the industry.
Li Feng, the Technical Chief Engineer of Shanghai Alwaysbrong Application Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chunxi Co., Ltd."), as a specially invited expert in the field of online monitoring of pollution sources, was invited to attend the conference. He shared advanced monitoring technologies with representatives from the organizing unit, focusing on monitoring of pollution source exhaust gas, promoting ecological and economic benefits in urban planning, and gave a keynote report on "Methods for Troubleshooting Low/Invalid Atmospheric Treatment Facility Monitoring and Monitoring Systems." Famous domestic and foreign scholars and experts, leaders of top research institutes in the field of VOCs, representatives of leading enterprises, and other experts and scholars share and exchange ideas.
Mr. Li believes that in the current flue gas denitrification and desulfurization treatment, excessive ammonia addition and emission lead to issues such as SNA secondary particles, CPM condensable particles, equipment scaling and corrosion, and impact on pollution source monitoring. He also clarifies the necessity and urgency of ammonia emission monitoring in flue gas from the perspectives of environmental management, emission control, and on-site law enforcement. Mr. Li believes that the current dilemma and challenge in ammonia emission monitoring is that the domestic ammonia emission standards are not yet sound enough. Only HJ533 is available, but its applicability, timeliness, and accuracy can no longer meet the requirements of on-site monitoring; Subsequently, the relevant ammonia emission standards at home and abroad were introduced in detail, as well as the current progress in manual sampling+laboratory analysis technology, fixed flue gas ammonia analysis system, and portable ammonia analyzer technology and standard formulation in China; At the same time, technical suggestions for controlling ammonia escape in flue gas were proposed, and the practical significance of collaborative monitoring with CPM to determine the "true treatment number and false pollution control" of inefficient and ineffective treatment facilities was determined.
