To understand the emission status of condensable particulate matter (CPM) in Henan Province and study the monitoring methods for ammonia and condensable particulate matter (CPM) in pollution source exhaust gas. From September 13 to September 16, 2022, Chunxi Group's PreGAS S-5500 condensable particulate matter sampling device assisted the Jiaozuo Ecological Environment Monitoring Center in Henan Province to actively cooperate with the Monitoring Department of the Provincial Ecological Environment Monitoring and Safety Center to carry out on-site monitoring of ammonia and condensable particulate matter (CPM) emissions from key enterprises in Jiaozuo City.
According to project requirements, on-site monitoring in Jiaozuo City has selected five enterprises, including China Resources Power Jiaozuo Co., Ltd., Jiaozuo Qianye Cement Co., Ltd., and China Aluminum Zhongzhou Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd., covering the three major industries of electricity, cement, and alumina. The Jiaozuo Center actively carried out on-site investigations on enterprise monitoring conditions, and carried out preparatory work such as the purchase of relevant reagents and accessories, and personnel allocations.
During the on-site monitoring process, the center staff and CPM monitoring team overcame difficulties such as high temperature and high-altitude operations, and strictly followed the project technical requirements. Each sampling point underwent three repeated tests. After each sampling was completed, the sampling gun and glass equipment were cleaned with distilled water and acetone. After each sampling is completed, a 1-hour nitrogen purge is performed to ensure zero interference of SO2 in the flue gas with CPM monitoring data. Simultaneously monitor flue gas temperature, pressure, flow rate, humidity, and ammonia escape, and compare them with online CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) data.
During the three-day monitoring period, Jiaozuo Center and CPM monitoring team worked together with a rigorous, meticulous, and serious work attitude, and a diligent and hardworking work style to ensure the successful completion of the on-site monitoring task. China Aluminum Zhongzhou Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. became the first enterprise in the alumina industry to conduct effective monitoring since the project was launched. This on-site monitoring action provides accurate data and technical support for precise and scientific pollution control in our province, and assists in the deep control of air pollution during the 14th Five Year Plan period and the continuous improvement of environmental air quality throughout the province through practical actions.
